SHAREN LEE (O’NEIL) NEAL GOES TO HEAVEN

October 17, 1942 – May 16, 2022

Our beautiful mother, Sharen, was born in San Francisco, California, to Fred Sharron and Barbara Elaine O’Neil. Upon her passing, Sharen was 79 years old.

Sharen Lee Neal

After graduating high school and attending college classes, Sharen worked as a secretary to the executive staff at International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) for many years. In 1968 she met the love of her life, Floyd Neal; they married in 1969 and would remain married for 47 years until Floyd’s passing in 2016. During the first years of marriage, the pair started their family and built a successful business, Timpe Neal. Sharen also earned her real estate license during this period.

Sharen was a passionate advocate for causes and awareness, making a difference in the lives of many. In 1972 she joined the Cleft Parents Group. A non-profit group formed in 1970 to source the cause of high numbers of children born with cleft lip and palate deformities in San Jose. On August 15, 2013, NAMI recognized Sharen’s outstanding work and years of unwavering dedication to an organization committed to building better lives for those living with mental illness.

Sharen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Neal, their beloved son, Robert Neal, and her adoring only brother, David O’Neil.

Sharen is survived by her children, Michael and (Brandee), John and (Rachelle), Paul and (April), and granddaughters Daphnie, Sierra, and Jenna. Numerous extended family members and friends also survive Sharen.

We send you into the arms of our God, Dad, and Robert with perfect love. Rest in peace, our loving mother. You are dearly missed.
